Howlite Tumble

Howlite is white with grey veining, like a smaller quieter version of marble. Cool to the touch. Not flashy.

The stone people pick up when everything else feels too loud. Howlite has a reputation for calming the mental chatter, and the effect people describe is usually less about magic and more about the physical experience of holding something cool and pale in the palm. Good on a nightstand when sleep has been broken. Good in a pocket during a season of overthinking. Good near a bed for a child who needs help settling.

Sometimes howlite is dyed to imitate turquoise. Ours is natural, uncolored.

Calcium borosilicate hydroxide, formed in evaporite deposits. Each stone has its own vein pattern.
