Selenite Calming Stone

Variant: White

A calming stone has one job. It sits in the palm of your hand and gives your thumb something to do while the rest of you sorts something out.

Selenite is the right stone for this because it's soft, satin-smooth, and almost weightless. Run your thumb across the surface and your nervous system gets a small physical cue: there is something steady here, and it is not the spinning thoughts.

Some keep one in an apron pocket through a long shift. Some keep one on the desk and reach for it during a difficult phone call. Some hand it to a kid who can't fall asleep. There's no wrong way.

White is the classic. Orange is the same stone with a band of iron-rich color running through it, warmer in the hand and in the eye.
