Snowflake obsidian is black volcanic glass with pale gray patches (the snowflakes) that grew inside the glass as it cooled slowly enough for tiny cristobalite crystals to form.
The tumble is the pocket-sized version. Smooth, cool to the touch on the first grab, warms quickly in a closed hand. Every stone shows a different pattern of flakes.
Obsidian's reputation is shadow work and grounding. Snowflake obsidian softens that reputation without erasing it. People reach for it when they want to look at something honest about themselves but don't want to go straight into the dark. Keep one in a pocket on the days when a difficult conversation is on the calendar, or on a desk near a journal for slow-paced self-work.
You'll be sent the one intuitively chosen for you.
