Crazy lace agate is banded in loops and swirls that never repeat, one piece looking like a topographic map and the next like lace pulled sideways. It's a stone people pick up when they're stuck, staring at the same problem from the same angle for too long, and need a nudge toward a different way in. Carry it in a pocket on a day you're trying something new, or set it on a desk where a stuck project has been sitting untouched for longer than you'd admit. It's a banded variety of agate, and the swirl pattern is what gives it the name, formed in layers as the stone came together. The heart shape is carved and polished smooth on both sides.
