Larvikite is the dark grey stone with the blue-silver flash. Tilt it toward the light and a shimmer runs across the surface, subtle, moody, not showy.

These pieces are carved into puffy hearts, small enough to close a hand around. The stone is heavier than it looks. It has some substance to it, which is part of why people keep coming back to larvikite as a pocket carry.

People reach for larvikite when they want something grounding that is not black. It sits somewhere between hematite and labradorite in feel, quieter than labradorite, less absolute than obsidian. Good for the days when you need to keep your feet under you but do not want to be closed off.
