Opalite is milky and slightly translucent, catching pale blue and soft pink glow when light passes through it. This piece is flat on both sides, sized for a thumb to rest on.

Worth knowing up front: opalite is a manmade glass, not a natural stone. It doesn't try to be anything else. People still reach for it because it feels good in the hand and it has a soft luminous quality that natural stones with the same color rarely have.
