Polychrome jasper is Madagascar's newer jasper find, and it lives up to the name. Every palm stone moves through a different set of colors: warm reds, sandy tans, deep purples, sometimes greens, arranged in swirls and bands that look like landscape photography.

People pick up polychrome jasper when they want to feel connected to something bigger without leaving the room. It has a reputation for a grounded, earthy expansiveness, the kind that steadies you without making you smaller. Good in the palm during long meditation. Good on a desk during creative work. Good in a pocket during travel days when you want a piece of steady ground with you.

A jasper (silicified sedimentary stone) from Madagascar, first mined around 2006. Each palm stone shows a different section of the parent slab.
