Rough Kyanite Chunk

Rough blue kyanite looks like a piece of frozen sky someone snapped off and forgot to polish. The blades sit in parallel layers, slightly translucent, blue running through them in streaks.

Kyanite is the stone people pick up when they want their head to quiet down. It doesn't push anything out. It just makes it harder for the loop to keep looping. Some keep one on the nightstand for that reason. Some keep one at the desk for when a deadline is making everything else louder.

A note on the material itself: kyanite is anisotropic, which is a way of saying it's harder in one direction than another. The blades will split along their length if dropped on a hard surface. Set it on cloth or wood, not stone.

You'll be sent the one intuitively chosen for you.

Quick facts

  • Material: rough blue kyanite (natural, unpolished)
  • Sizes: varies; roughly the size of a small plum
  • Best for: bedside, meditation cushion, quieting a noisy mind, between-meeting resets
  • Pairs well with: selenite, amethyst, clear quartz
  • Care: handle gently; kyanite is brittle along its blade direction. No water needed.
